I am posting some images of my WIPs to motivate myself into completing them all in 2012.
Here goes:
I have two of the same quilt pattern in progress, Hidden Stars from Layer Cake, Jelly Roll and Charm Quilts (Pam and Nicky Lintott) although I think it is a pattern from Carolyn Forster.
The first uses Good Fortune by Kate Spain
The second is fabric from Lily and Will collection for Moda. I have constructed the quilt in four parts for easier FMQ. Its not as unweildy as I thought it would be so I will construct Good Fortune in one piece.
Raspberry Ripple pattern from the above book and also in four sections. I have been adding chunky hand quilting and FMQ. The plain red fabric is much darker than shown in the photo. I usually purchase plains from Strawberry Fayre using their brilliant sample packs so I can see what shade the fabric actually is. Hand basting can be seen on the bottom photo.
The next one is at stitch in the ditch stage. It is for a teenage boy to use in a camper van so all it needs is copious amounts of machine straight line stitching - tedious but essential. Again the red fabric is a lot darker than in the photo.
Then I have the pinwheel quilt and you may notice in the photo there are Good Fortune pinwheels. These are cut offs from the Hidden Stars quilt.
Another two WIPs. Some fabric from two of Dan Bennetts collections and others.
Two more WIPs to follow!
